Time with Gus

Demeter opens the door out into her garden where the moon's out and its starting to get hot and humid.

Everywhere something is blooming and the scents fill the air as Demeter smiles and leads Gus to a table set out in a little grove of trees.

"I've had a lot of practice taking care of people,"

Inside the house which is simply furnished and old, she leads him upstairs to her room. Its a warm room with a balcony that leads out to the garden, screens and plants, everything speaking of life.

He's not one to skip dinner, but after the night he's had and everything that's on his mind the only thing he can think about outside of the overflow of drama is the company he's got and the beautiful place he's blessed to be in.

"This is amazing..." he murmurs, looking to her, "you're amazing."

"So are you. Come on and get out of those clothes and come lay with me,"

She pulls back the light blanket on the bed and turns on the bedside lamp.

The lamp casts a perfect glow as he watches her, fingers working quickly at his buttons. Any other time, he'd be nervous and shaking with the pressure of a sexual encounter - but they've got no airs of it. Even if they were going to end up there, she made him feel calm and utterly at ease.

"You like the show?" He teased, hollow though the joke may be it felt good to try one.

"Always,"

She slips out of her dress and into bed, leaning up to kiss his chest as it appears.

The gentle press of lips as he peels off his undershirt is enough to elicit a small sigh and make him question just how much he wants a platonic evening. Of course, that's his body talking and his body's what got him into the mess to begin with.

Stupid body.

Instead, he fights open his belt and then removes his pants and folds them neatly with his shirt at the foot of the bed - choosing to leave his shorts on before he climbs in with her, finding her sweet lips for a proper kiss.

She smiles into him the kiss, snuggling into him.

It's an easy gentleness to fall into, wrapping his arms around her as he drags her down to the bed - the single long kiss dissolving into several smaller ones before he lets out a soft, honest laugh.

"You bring out the best in me, you know that?"

"It's not that hard to bring it out, Gus,"

She reaches around him to turn off the light, letting the room instead slowly fill with the light of stars and moon outside.

"You'd be surprised," he murmurs, nuzzling into her hair and smelling the unique scent of her as she easily fits herself against him.

Smiling, so genuine it almost hurts in light of things he's admitted, he presses more kisses against her temple and down her cheek.

The kisses are wonderful and she presses against him, kissing back and holding him.

Knowing that if he keeps pushing, he won't want to stop, Gus leans back against the pillows still clinging to her tight. Briefly, but only briefly, he can't help but wonder what it would be like if he could always be with her like this. It's just not the way it would work, of course - even he knows that it's not like that and never will be - but it's a fleeting romantic notion.

"I miss this. Being close."

"You can be here whenever you want," She snuggles close to him.

"I know," he kisses her again, letting himself linger against her lips before admitting to his own train of thought; "too bad it could never work out as more. Don't suppose they make mortal girls like you?"

"You'd have to be content to share me but you can always find your way to me, Gus. I'm fairly sure there are some like me."

It's a rare sticking point, once he's fallen for good - she's gotta only have eyes for him. But for now? It's the furthest thing from his mind.

"I can only hope," he squeezes his arms even tighter around her, drawing her soft body as close to him as he can. "I'm happy with what we have... even though I'm kind of hoping some day you won't have to try and fix me."

"Some day I won't and in the meantime, I'll just enjoy you,"

She kisses him and settles herself against his chest.

Stupid, stupid body.

Gus groans low in his throat and nods against her, enjoying the press of her against him entirely too much.

"You're more than welcome... beats the hell out of the alternative."

"Don't think like that just be here with me for now."

[thesupersmeller]

He nods easily, gently trailing the fingers of one hand up and down her back.

"I can't imagine a better place to be."

"Neither can I," She leans into his touch and kisses him.

He's pretty sure she's been in some amazing places, even better than that exact moment, but he's not about to question her.

Not when she kisses him again and it's all he can do not to give in to the urge to push the softness even further.

"I'm glad," he murmurs against her lips, nipping her gently.

"It's true and you're welcome," He needs to know that he's loved and he is.

Grinning, relaxed as he ever is, and enjoying himself a lot more than he thinks is even technically possible with the turmoil going on in his head; Gus lets himself get lost in the moment and her embrace and her perfect kisses.

She smiles into his kisses, holding him and kissing as the world goes by.
