Time with Gus

Demeter opens the door out into her garden where the moon's out and its starting to get hot and humid.

Everywhere something is blooming and the scents fill the air as Demeter smiles and leads Gus to a table set out in a little grove of trees.

It's a rare sticking point, once he's fallen for good - she's gotta only have eyes for him. But for now? It's the furthest thing from his mind.

"I can only hope," he squeezes his arms even tighter around her, drawing her soft body as close to him as he can. "I'm happy with what we have... even though I'm kind of hoping some day you won't have to try and fix me."

"Some day I won't and in the meantime, I'll just enjoy you,"

She kisses him and settles herself against his chest.

Stupid, stupid body.

Gus groans low in his throat and nods against her, enjoying the press of her against him entirely too much.

"You're more than welcome... beats the hell out of the alternative."

"Don't think like that just be here with me for now."

[thesupersmeller]

He nods easily, gently trailing the fingers of one hand up and down her back.

"I can't imagine a better place to be."

"Neither can I," She leans into his touch and kisses him.

He's pretty sure she's been in some amazing places, even better than that exact moment, but he's not about to question her.

Not when she kisses him again and it's all he can do not to give in to the urge to push the softness even further.

"I'm glad," he murmurs against her lips, nipping her gently.

"It's true and you're welcome," He needs to know that he's loved and he is.

Grinning, relaxed as he ever is, and enjoying himself a lot more than he thinks is even technically possible with the turmoil going on in his head; Gus lets himself get lost in the moment and her embrace and her perfect kisses.

She smiles into his kisses, holding him and kissing as the world goes by.

He's not even sure how long they've been in bed, enjoying the simple comforts of another warm, breathing body beside him. But, at some point later in the evening he murmurs;

"You make me feel clean again."

It's only mostly coherent.

"Oh, Gus, you were never dirty,"

That's a Christian concept she doesn't like.

It's all he's ever known. The concept of truth in the mythology is all new to him and not exactly the easiest thing to wrap his brain around.

"Easy for you to say, you don't know what I did." The sort of things that didn't just make him feel awkward and uncomfortable... the sort of things that made him want to slink into a hole when it was done.

"Gus, do you know all that I've done?"

For she may look human and is good at blending in with humanity, but she isn't.

"I know legends..." he chuckles half a breath into her hair, nuzzling against her. "But no, I bet I don't."

Still, it's different when he wants to be good enough to be in the same bed with her... with a Goddess - someone that by all means doesn't have to pay attention to people like him.

She kisses his chest, "Then believe me when I say, I want you and don't think you dirty or awful."

She wants him, and that puts him right back to where he was when Lucifer was so poised to ensnare him - being wanted. Having someone desire him.

A weak smile crosses his lips and he asks quietly; "You still want me?"

"Yes, Gus. I'll tell you and show you however much it takes to get you to believe that you're of worth."

With a slow shudder, he noses against her and pressed a kiss against her lips.

"You don't have to, Dem..." he sighs. "I... I already feel amazing just being here."

She kisses him and rubs his back,

"There's time for whatever you want tonight, Gus or need. You should get some sleep but it doesn't have to be now."

Pushing himself closer against her, his lips find the soft skin under her ear. What he wanted was the eternal question lately, he wants to feel loved and like he's not alone in the world - if only for that tiny fraction of time between trouble and a little more trouble.

"I want you," he whispers softly, squeezing her tight to his chest.

She shifts to meet his eyes and kiss him to show him taht she wants him here and now.

Gus can't help but blush, his face and body warming against the suggestion as much as her gentle kiss.

"Dem..." he sighs, rocking his hips against her as he holds back a shudder.

"I know, Gus," Demeter smiles as she easily closes the small distance between them, pressing herself to him.

Of course she knows... she always knows. What he wants, what he needs...

Inhaling the increasingly familiar earthy scent good and deep, he lets her guide him without the awkwardness of before - his hands stroking gently over her skin. "Thank you..." he whispers, staring at her in the dim room.
