The ground shakes and trembles as trees and vines cover the factory in green until there are no bricks visible.

Then with a quiet shift that gods have ever been good at, there is nothing but plants as the bricks crumble into the earth.

Demeter stands watching, her eyes potent and not here as she glows briefly and finally can breath again.

When the earth has stopped shifting, she moves to Malcolm and simply hugs him.

He'd better be. After a long and complicated lunch since of course they had to have all sorts of extra goodies, Demeter thanks the couple.

Then she takes his hand and leads him around the coast towards a tiny cove with a beautiful villa hiding there,

"This is where we'll be staying."

He drapes an arm around her shoulders. "Dem, you are a marvel."

"They, uh," he gestures behind them, "They wouldn't happen to do room service?"

"Oh don't you like my cooking?"

"I love your cooking."

"I was just planning on keeping you busy with other things."

"We'll have lunch or dinner there every day then."

"You mean we're going to walk out of there--" he points at the villa "--Twice a day?"

He looks out over the sea and grins. "Good thing we're not in the Bar. Mike would probably have us both in the cells again."

"Well, we don't have to. I'm sure we could find someway to have them cook for us."

"Leave the cooking to me, baby," Malcolm smirks.

And then nearly stumbles off the beach, right into the ocean.

That ouzo packs a kick.

"Malcolm, be careful."

She catches him and grins,

"Or we could just go for a swim."

"That's a great idea!" Malcolm turns to say to her.

...And then somehow manages to slip right off the slightly raised ground and starts falling--and laughing--for a dunk in the water.

Demeter just laughs and follows after him, the Aegean is beautiful and slightly cool.

It also happens to be wet. Malcolm flails around for a bit, splashing everything--and everyone--in sight and still laughing, before making a mock look of pain as he rubs his butt.

"I think I landed on a mollusk."

They're actually in their own little cove so he doesn't have to worry about anyone else,

"Poor thing."

He smirks. "I'm just going to pretend you mean my butt, and not the mollusk."

Demeter gives him a good long kiss,

"Of course I did, dear."

Malcolm isn't entirely convinced of this, but the kiss makes up for any doubts. And this being a perfect day, even the sea is cooperating by being warm as the low waves swirl around them to break gently against the shore.

His hat is thrown onto the beach and she leans on him so that he goes just under the waves for a moment.

Malcolm obligingly splutters and flails.

"Brat!" he coughs when he's back up and laughing--and splashing Dem with all the warm seawater he can.

"I'm older than you!"

She laughs and sits on him before kissing him again so they both go under water.

At the moment, that probably means she's seven to his six, but never mind that, there's kissing and all kinds of other good things.

It might take them a while to get to that villa, lovely as it is.

The villa isn't going anywhere and they have time. Some time later when the sun is beginning to lower, they end up inside and dry.

Demeter finds a bottle of wine and a brings over a loaf of fresh bread and olive oil before sitting on Malcolm's lap.

Malcolm holds up the bottle and catches the sunlight with it, watching the patterns turn on the floor as he moves the bottle.

"I don't think I've ever been more relaxed than right now." He turns to kiss her softly. "Thank you, Dem."

"I like seeing you this relaxed, it looks good on you."

She kisses him back and dips some bread in oil before offering it to him.

Malcolm takes it, smart man that he is. "Makes me wonder why you'd ever leave this country," he says after chewing.

There's a long moment before she answers in which she drinks some wine,

"Family and I've never truly left."
