The ground shakes and trembles as trees and vines cover the factory in green until there are no bricks visible.

Then with a quiet shift that gods have ever been good at, there is nothing but plants as the bricks crumble into the earth.

Demeter stands watching, her eyes potent and not here as she glows briefly and finally can breath again.

When the earth has stopped shifting, she moves to Malcolm and simply hugs him.

There's a long moment before she answers in which she drinks some wine,

"Family and I've never truly left."

"Family," Malcolm nods. "I guess that would be the one thing to do it."

He reaches over and offers an oil-touched piece of bread back to her.

She eats it and hugs him tightly, curling up in his lap,

"Yes, time and distance only help so much."

Malcolm smiles gently. "Well, on your level they count for even less than usual, love."

"Sorry, yes. Now do you wish to go anywhere today because you're going to have to convince me to move?"

"I'm going to have to do the convincing, huh?" He shakes his head. "Not going to be easy."

"'Course, there could always be a twilight walk on the beach." He nods toward the steadily setting sun.

"Always, since the beach is right out there."

"All right, baby," Malcolm says, lifting her up to her feet. "It's just too beautiful out there to miss."

"And then we'll have the rest of the night," he smiles and kisses her.

She kisses him back and wraps herself around his neck so she can kiss his ear,

"We do have a porch to watch it on too."

"Beach," Malcolm gently insists with a grin. "Need to keep up that energy, after all."

"I'm sure that I can get you up without going to the beach."

"Bet you can't," Malcolm dares.

Demeter really does enjoy shorts and proves why as she ever so slightly changes position in a way that allows her to move her hip just so.

Malcolm is silent for a long moment.



"Well, ok."

"I guess you can."

Grin.

"Of course I can."

She smirks and kisses him as they finally reach the beach which is all theirs.
