Provence with Malcolm

When the door opens, they fall into the pond which lies within a grove of cypress and olive trees that fill the air with complicated scents,

Malcolm closes his eyes. "Ready."

Into his mouth an olive stuffed with thinly sliced, ham wrapped around homemade goat cheese.

Swallow.

Pause.

"Yeah. I'm going to like this place."

Demeter kisses him, he tastes good, "You better."

"I'm going to need to jog twice as much every morning, you know."

"I'm sure we can think of fun ways for you to exercise."

"Yeah, come to think of it, I better be more worried about keeping up my strength."

He grins and kisses her this time.

"Now this meal is going to take most of the day so savor everything."

"Oh, believe me. I'm in no rush."

"Just makes sure I get back to the bar in time, because you're going to have to drag me there."

"What's in time for you?"

She figured being dead might be a small problem, but not how.

"Heh, you don't usually get a straight answer to that question. But I'm pretty sure three days is fine. Anything after that, and I'll probably be pushing my luck."

"But then I think I can always come back. I just need to check in." Malcolm frowns thoughtfully. "I'm not sure for how long, though. Maybe a couple of hours? Hard to say."

"We can do a lot in three day and if need be I'll go talk to my son in law. Though you might not be from this world, we'll figure it out."

The chef comes out to ask in rapid fire French how everything is and kiss Demeter, she laughs and praises all the food.

After being pleased with their progress and bringing out a bottle of wine to accompany the next courses, the contented and rather rotund chef disappears again while the second course of a light as air seafood bisque is brought out.

"Oh my god," Malcolm whispers between almost every orgasmic bite.

He might not make it to three days at this rate. But at least he'll go out happy.

Demeter has no true reaction other than to beam at him and eat herself, watching him as each successive comes out, along with varying wines too.

Malcolm takes it easy on the wines. He wants this to last.

"So what do people around here do in the evening? Music? Dance?"

He's pretty sure he knows what they do late at night.

"Depends on the evening. We'll walk after we eat, I know a wonderful old bath that we can explore before the next meal. Also I think there might be some gypsies around there so we can dance too."

"Old bath, huh? What if you fall in and get all wet? Might have to jump in and rescue you."

"Its Roman, cheri, no water in there but lots of privacy."

Disappointment!

The only proper response to that is a kiss,

"I'm not sure how the French countryside is private."

"It's not like we're parading down the Champs-Élysées."

"'Course, we could."

"We'd have to go up to Paris then."

She pouts at him.

"Wouldn't think of it, love, wouldn't think of it."

*Kiss.*

"Good, like you better here, you look good in linen."

"I like me better here too," Malcolm grins. "In fact, I'm not seeing anything I don't like."

And now there's a long snog of a kiss.
