Provence with Malcolm

When the door opens, they fall into the pond which lies within a grove of cypress and olive trees that fill the air with complicated scents,

"Now that wasn't so long."

"Oh my god," Malcolm whispers between almost every orgasmic bite.

He might not make it to three days at this rate. But at least he'll go out happy.

Demeter has no true reaction other than to beam at him and eat herself, watching him as each successive comes out, along with varying wines too.

Malcolm takes it easy on the wines. He wants this to last.

"So what do people around here do in the evening? Music? Dance?"

He's pretty sure he knows what they do late at night.

"Depends on the evening. We'll walk after we eat, I know a wonderful old bath that we can explore before the next meal. Also I think there might be some gypsies around there so we can dance too."

"Old bath, huh? What if you fall in and get all wet? Might have to jump in and rescue you."

"Its Roman, cheri, no water in there but lots of privacy."

"We're being private now?"


Disappointment!

The only proper response to that is a kiss,

"I'm not sure how the French countryside is private."

"It's not like we're parading down the Champs-Élysées."

"'Course, we could."

"We'd have to go up to Paris then."

She pouts at him.

"Wouldn't think of it, love, wouldn't think of it."

*Kiss.*

"Good, like you better here, you look good in linen."

"I like me better here too," Malcolm grins. "In fact, I'm not seeing anything I don't like."

And now there's a long snog of a kiss.

From the kitchen there's laughter, happy couples are always wonderful and the owners come out with fresh fruit and creme as they talk in quite fast French.

Demeter just laughs and dips a strawberry in creme and feeds it to Malcolm, casually licking her fingers of the creme.

"Strawberries and creme, now?" Malcolm grins. "You know, you're spoiling me rotten here."

He pops open another bottle of wine and starts pouring.

"You're worth spoiling, you do so much."

"I do. But other people do too."

He gets nearly nose-to-nose with Demeter and smiles.

"'Sides, it's not like goddesses have nothing to do. All that fertility to keep going."

Her hand has somehow found its way up his thigh,

"Oh yes, fertility, quite important, it helps if you make love in a field."

"Really? Are you sure about that?"

"I'm a doctor, you know. Makes me a scientist. And that sounds like a theory that might need to be verified."

"I know some good ones."

Then her hand wanders farther up for a squeeze and she stands up for some fast French and then they're outside in bright sun again,

"This way."

She pulls him off the road into a field that seems to bow in the wind to Demeter.

"Now I might need to make some measurements first. To make sure this is really scientif--. You know, that's going to be hard to do when you're taking my clothes off already."

"What needs to be measured?"

For a field, its more comfortable than you'd expect also there's a blanket, oh wait, that's Demeter's dress.

"Well, as long as you've got a sliding scale... Hey, do goddesses get grass stains?"

"Grass stains are proof you've been having a good time."

"See, I like the way you think," he replies as they descend to an altitude below grass level.
