Aftermath

The flowers bent away from Demeter as she tugged at weeds and muttered to herself in various languages until her daughter stood behind her and said, "Go someplace else. I can hear you in my garden and all the plants are worried."

Demeter sat on her heels to look at Kore, "Fine, I'll go for a walk, but this isn't right. I shouldn't have to change."

"I know and you don't have to but you're going to cause a storm at this rate," Under her daughter's gaze, Demeter stood up, dusted the dirt off her hands and started walking. Kore sighed as she watched her go, this all felt too familiar.

Demeter walked from garden to field to garden until she was sitting beside a fountain in a courtyard in another part of France. The walk had helped but she still hated the situation, she shouldn't have to do anything for Teja who misunderstood and then pronounced judgement and won't consider that he's wrong. He can miss her all he likes.

"Maybe I should talk with security after all..."

He had wanted to let it go, but if Demeter is still wrapped up in it all, that changes things.

"I'll come with you if you want," She's wrapped up in an odd way as well.

He nods. "That might help. I don't really know who to talk to, and who knows what he's said to them to escape retribution."

"Perhaps Belar, he's always seemed understanding."

[golden_lyre]

"I said something to him already," Orpheus says, frowning a bit. "He was the one who took care of all this in the first place. But I suppose speaking to him again couldn't hurt."

"I just don't know who else. Teja's the main person I know on Security. I could ask Sallie for her advice."

[golden_lyre]

"I don't know Sallie. Is she someone who might be able to help?"

[wheatencrown]

"Sallie Reynolds, one of the Barman, she might have some advice. I think you'd like her."

[golden_lyre]

"All right. Maybe we should talk to her, then," Orpheus agrees. He's willing to do whatever Demeter thinks is best.

She leans on his shoulder, "Belar first as he already knows what happens and then Sallie if we have to."

[golden_lyre]

"Yeah, all right. Sounds like a plan." He curls an arm around her waist, shifting a little to hide the marks on his neck from Eric feeding.

[wheatencrown]

"Yes, for now, this is nice,"

This will get figured out somehow and she won't have to deal with Carlotta pressing on her to fix things.
