wheatencrownTime moves on though we may try to stop it moves. So though Demeter was smiling when she returned home, she knew Kore would be leaving.
Not far from the crack she descends, Demeter holds her tightly, but this time there are fewer tears and she whispers, "Soon."
Oh yes, the tears fall faster as Kore walks from her but she will return because even Zeus fears his sister.
The ground is starting to grow cold under her feet as she heads north with her hair covered, but perhaps this Winter the bite will not be so great.
