Cruella is not moving anywhere unless they say and she is surrounded on all sides by people who care about Boo-AndrAIa, Enzo, Coreen and Demeter herself.

Shorty is watching the pregant women fight.
"I thought it jus-"

Glancing at the table, "Right. Um. Can I do that?"

"Don't see why not. We could give you some free deeds or something."

He smiles a little.
"I guess-uh, yeah, that'd be cool."

He glances back at the catfight and leans in towards Enzo.

"Uh-huh. Or first food, or whatever."

He's not sure why they're whispering, but whatever.

He looks around like a kid with his hand in the candy jar.

...oh. He's really that excited at the prospect of a simple root beer? Code.

"'Course. Just ask the Bar. Or the rats."

"N-nothin'." Enzo hastily tries to wipe all traces of surprise or, worse, pity from his face. "C'mon," he says louder, "I'll introduce you to Bar."

"Who's.." He stands after Enzo does, "Oh, okay." He tries to smile at the ladies and follows behind Enzo toward Bar.

"Bar? This is Shorty. Shorty, Bar." He pats the wooden surface, grinning. "G'wan, ask her."

"I, uh." He feels foolish. "Could I have a root beer?"

He bites back a surprised intake of breath when a frosty mug appears. He picks it up, takes a sip and grins.
"It's really good!"

"Uh-huh! She gets her stuff from everywhere, so she can make sure it's the best. Digital for me," he adds to Bar, and she obliges with a similar mug of root dir.

Shorty grins, the happy expression looking slightly out of place after the somber ones he'd been showing since coming into the bar. "So..it's a she? She's alive?"

"Uh-huh. The whole place is magic," he advises. "Don't worry too much about it."

"Cool" He's still grinning and he takes another sip of the drink.

"I guess we should see if the girls have killed each other yet."

Coreen is laughing breathlessly. Her face is red, and her eyes bright. She presses the pillow against her back.

"Okay, okay! I cave. I can't take any more."

Grinning widely, AndrAIa twirls a pillow in her hand.

"Let that be a lesson to you, sweeheart. I live and breathe Games."

Enzo grins at Shorty as they return. There may also be waggling of eyebrows.

"Bar gave me a root beer!"

Yes, he is entirely too excited about this.

The Game sprite smiles at Shorty's enthusiasm.

"That's great, kiddo!"

Coreen grins, "Wait 'til you try a root beer float...you'll be in heaven." She pats the boy's shoulder.

She glances up at Cruella, just to make sure she's still there.

Cruella is totally still there.
Is she in a different position than she was a minute ago? Hard to know, really.

Shorty looks at Coreen uncertainly. "What's a root beer float?" Is it delicious?

Okay, there's something seriously wrong with this kid's world that he's never had a rootbeer float. She's astounded and perturbed.

She waves a waitrat over, and orders one for him, and one for herself.

"Root beer...plus vanilla ice cream...equals heaven."

"I don't.. You don't have to do that." He's looking embarrassed again.

"Shorty, shut up and enjoy your rootbeer float." She grins at him and squeezes his shoulder.
