OOM with Boo

After finding Boo asleep, Demeter goes up to her room with the wheat sheaf on the door.

Inside is almost the same as her room in France, full of light, a comfortable bed and lots of nice places to sit and be. She lays Boo down on the big bed and finds her softest blanket for both of them before snuggling up next to Boo and falling asleep.

After an unknown amount of time, Boo begins to stir. She rubs her eyes sleepily, and slowly becomes aware of her surroundings. The blanket, first. It's soft. She likes that.

She sits up suddenly, confused. She was not here. She was fighting The Mean Boy Who Yells. He was being mean and she didn't like that at all. And then..

And then..

She doesn't know what happened then. She doesn't like that.

She makes a confused, pouty sort of noise and looks around. She doesn't know where she is, either. This time the noise she makes is more like a whimper.

Demeter rolls over when she hears that whimper and says, "Boo, I'm here, you're safe."

Boo turns, but the unfamiliar face doesn't ease her confusion.

Um.

She whimpers again, looks around the room and then to the Demeter.

Um.

She knows Boo's name, which is a good start but..

Boo isn't sure about any of this, and it shows on her face.

"Oh Boo, don't you remember. We used to play in the garden?" Demeter opens her hands and there's a blooming sunflower.

Boo's confused face brightens slightly at the blooming sunflowers.

She likes flowers. They're pretty.

[wheatencrown]

Demeter's glad to see that smile and creates more flowers and puts the flowers closer to Boo, "Here, they're for you."

Oooo.

Boo inches closer, to inspect the sunflowers. She picks one up and twirls it, then grins and shows it to Demester proudly.

"Ook! Pitty!"

"I know. They're so yellow. What colors do you like?" Its good to see Boo being more trusting.

Boo has pretty much forgotten her earlier confusion, now that there is more interesting things to focus on.
"Puh-ink! Puh-pull."

She picks up more sunflowers til they are overflowing in her hands (she has tiny hands, and sunflowers are big, so that doesn't take too many, really). She then giggles at them, watching them fall, and looks up at Demeter happily.

Demeter creates pink and purple pansies and one big purple hibiscus blossom, "Pink and purple."

OOOOO!!

Boo reaches for the new additions eagerly.

"PIIIIITTTTTY!!"

She holds the new blooms up to her face as if hugging them, then beams at Demeter. She starts arranging all the flowers on the bed.

"What other colors would you like?"

There's lots of space on the bed, the comforter is good for flowers too as its green with faint gold wheat sheaves on it.

Boo approves of the way the pretty flowers look on the comforter when she arranges them.

"Um.."

It's important to consider serious questions like this.

"Bwue! Geeeen!"

For blue flowers there are bluebells, green means all sorts of ferns curled and uncurled. She also brings in a few purple lavender stalks, "Are these good?"

Boo beams at her new friend. "Pittty!!"

She takes the long flowers and ferns and arranges them around the outside of the other, more traditionally round, flowers.

The sunflowers are in the middle.

She looks up for approval.

"That's beautiful. I love it,"

Demeter beams at Boo.

Boo beams back, absolutely delighted with the praise.

She picks up on of the sunflowers and offers it to The Flower Lady.

"Thank you," Demeter puts the sunflower in her hair, "Do you want to wear a flower?"
